The 3 Digital Products Every Speaker Should Sell (That Aren’t a Course)

Selling a course is not the only way to scale and make money online as a speaker.

Courses are great, but creating one can be overwhelming, expensive, and time-consuming.

And let’s be honest… putting all that effort into something that might flop is a big risk.

The good news?

There are three other digital products you can sell that are easier to create, scalable, and reinforce your authority as a speaker.

Even better, they can serve as a testing ground for a future high-ticket course.

Let’s dive in:

1. eBooks

Think of eBooks as a low-effort, high-reward product.

They position you as an expert in your niche and are perfect for a one-time purchase.

They don’t have to be lengthy. Aim for 70 to 120 pages that offer concise, actionable quick wins to the reader.

You can even compile one over the weekend using the material you already have.

Price it at $19–$49, and you’ve got an evergreen product that adds authority and generates passive income.

If your eBook gets great feedback, you can expand it into a course later on.

2. Workshops

Leverage what you’re already doing.

If you’re running workshops as part of your speaking gigs, why not turn them into a digital product?

Here’s how:

  • Record a live session.

  • Package it into an on-demand workshop.

  • Take video testimonials from live attendees to boost credibility.

You can charge $97–$297, depending on the content.

Recorded live workshops also create a sense of exclusivity, which is a great selling point!

3. Subscription Products

Subscriptions are a great way to build predictable revenue.

Start a paid newsletter or a private community that offers value for a small subscription fee.

For example, if you’re a productivity speaker, you could create a $15/month paid newsletter called “The Monday Momentum Plan” to deliver exclusive weekly tips, insights, and downloadable templates for your paid subscribers.

Or go a step further and build a private subscription community with weekly Q&A sessions or live group coaching calls. Price it at $49–$99/month or higher, depending on the value you deliver.

Just a word of caution: Communities can be overwhelming if not managed correctly. If you’re just starting, a paid newsletter or subscription might be a better fit.

Now…

You can choose just one of these products or offer all three to create multiple income streams.

But if you’ve been stuck thinking a course is the only way to scale your business online, think again.

EBooks, workshops, and subscriptions are easier to create, could be as profitable (if not more profitable), and help you connect with your audience on deeper levels.

It’s just a matter of aligning your offer with what your audience wants to buy.
